What's the buy in for monthly tournaments?

$100 for the tournament, plus the optional 50/50 raffle. Cash please.

How much is in the end of year prize pools?

Why a raffle?

Proceeds from the raffle will compensate the host for providing tables, chairs, food, water, utilities, wear and tear and their time and trouble, and the TD for providing chips, time and trouble as well as website and software expenses. $10 a ticket or $20 for 3 tickets.

Players are strongly encouraged to participate in the raffle to show appreciation and respect for the host/TD. It is important to note that this is our way of assuring those expenses are adequately addressed while being open to all players. The host/TD do full buy ins, no deducting from the prize pool.

What is the location?

See the EVENTS page for updates. Most games will be at Dan and Leah Hodge's or Deric Davisson's house, but anyone interested in hosting will be considered. See the HOSTING page for details.

Any rebuys or late entries?

Empty seats may be filled by players up to the end of the 1st break, approximately 8:10 PM.

These are freeze out tournaments, no rebuys.

See the STRUCTURE page for more info.

How do I reserve a seat for the next tournament?

Once registration is open, typically 1-2 weeks prior as announced via email, go to the EVENTS page and register for the tournament. A link to the EVENTS page will be included in the announcement email.

For last minute entry or cancellation please call or text 480 356 2943.

No-Shows: A player who reserved a seat but does not show up without timely informing the TD may be placed on the Wait List the next time they register. A player with multiple no-shows may be suspended from one or more tournaments or removed from membership at the TD’s discretion.

Can I invite people to play?

If you know people who would be a good fit please recommend them to me with contact info (email or text). As a 'members only' site, League membership is not open to the general public. Our members have been good players who respect the game, the players and the hosts. We want to keep it that way.

If you bring someone forward please advise them to look in spam/junk folders for the first email from chuck@wphpl.club as that sometimes is the case. I suspect that is due to being a less common dot club domain and/or because it is set up so as to NOT maximize SEO to enhance our privacy.
